Mark Your Calendars for Exciting AABC Events in 2012

December 15, 2011

We are proud to announce our bigger and better conference and workshop schedule for 2012! This year, there will be five How to Start a Birth Center Workshops, two Practical Techniques to Support Women in Childbirth conferences, and our Annual Birth Institute.

We'll start the year off right with How to Start a Birth Center Workshop in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.  This student-only workshop will be hosted by Women's Birth and Wellness Center, a nationally-accredited center that has been open since 1996.  We're excited to announce that all registration slots have already been filled for this workshop.

Next, we'll travel to Tucson, Arizona on April 13-14 where the workshop will showcase Birth and Women's Health Center.  The center is nationally accredited, state licensed, and a part of the El Rio Community Health Center, a Federally Qualified Healthcare Center.

Danbury, Connecticut will be our next site for the How to Start a Birth Center Workshop.  On June 29 and 30, Connecticut Childbirth and Women's Center will open its doors to our particpants.  This nationally accredited and state licensed birth center was established in 1997 and was Connecticut's first free-standing birth center.

We will be holding another student-only workshop in St. Paul, Minnesota on August 10 and 11.  THis workshop will showcase two birth centers: Health Foundations Family Health and Birth Center and Morning Star Women's Health and Birth Center.  Both centers are nationally accredited and state licensed.

Our final How to Start a Birth Center Workshop will precede the Annual Birth Institute in St Pete Beach, Florida.  The workshop will be held on October 3 and 4 and will feature the Breath of Life Women's Health and Birth Center and the Labor of Love Birth Center.  Both centers are currently in the process of becoming nationally accredited.
