Support an Advocacy Group

If you're looking for other ways to support natural childbirth options and the midwifery model of care, you can always join and support an advocacy group.  Here at AABC, we have three groups that we like to support. 

Citizens for Midwifery is the only national consumer-based group promoting the midwifery model of care.  It works to provide information and resources that promote the local midwife, as well as midwives and midwifery care across the country.

The Coalition for Improving Maternity Services is a group of individuals and national organizations with concern for the care and well-being of mothers, babies, and families. They aim to promote a wellness model of maternity care that will improve birth outcomes and substantially reduce costs.

Finally, Childbirth Connection is a national non-profit aimed at improving the quality and value of maternity care through consumer engagement and health systems transformation.
