URGENT: Call Senators Today to Prevent Deep Cuts to Medicaid and the Repeal of the Affordable Care Act!

Tell your Senators to vote NO - That the Graham-Cassidy Bill would hurt you, the women and newborns of your state, and your birth center*.

The Graham-Cassidy Bill would include deeper cuts to healthcare spending and will cause millions to lose insurance.  Maternity coverage would no longer be required and over 13 million women could lose coverage in commercial plans.  Protections for pre-existing conditions will be lost.  The new Senate Bill to Repeal Obamacare would also make deep cuts in Medicaid funding.  Medicaid pays for almost half of all births in the U.S., so cuts to Medicaid would impact women's access to care and to birth centers.

Call your Senator's offices.  You can say: "Hello, my name is [NAME] from [ZIP CODE] and I care for mothers and babies in a birth center in [STATE].  I support women's access to maternity care and to birth centers and I urge Sen. [SENATOR NAME] to vote NO on the Graham-Cassidy Bill."

Phone lines may be busy, so keep trying or call your local state's office if you can't get through to Washington.  Other healthcare groups are lining up in opposition to this bill that would hurt access to healthcare and small business health care providers like birth centers.  Now it's AABC's turn to call and make our voices heard.

*These calls are especially important if you live in Alaska, Arizona, or Maine, but we are asking all members to call today.

Thanks for all you do,
