NRP 7th Edition guidelines:
What birth centers need to know

Join us for AABC Webinar Wednesday with Ashton Osborne and Olga Ryan to learn more about the new Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) guidelines. This presentation will outline the most recent changes to the NRP guidelines and how they affect birth centers. We will also review CABC indicator revisions based on these changes.

About the Presenters

Ashton OsborneAshton Osborne, RN, BSN
Ashton is the Nurse Manager at the Charleston Birth Place in North Charleston, South Carolina. She earned her bachelor’s in Nursing at Southern Adventist University in May 2009, and is currently in pursuit of her Master’s degree in Nursing Education from Walden University. She is expected to graduate in 2017. She is also a volunteer CABC commissioner, the chair of the Indicators and Research Committee for CABC, a member for the AABC Webinars Committee, and became an NRP instructor in July 2013. She is dedicated to holistic nursing and developing evidence-based methods to improve the lives and health of mothers and babies. 

Olga RyanOlga Ryan, MS-NL, RN
Olga is the Health Center Manager at El Rio Birth & Women’s Health Center in Tucson, AZ.  She is also Administrative Vice-Chair of the Commission for the Accreditation of Birth Centers.  Olga has has served in nursing leadership positions in a variety of perinatal units since 1994, with a special interest in process improvement projects.  She has been a birth center nurse since 2006, and as the nurse manager of the El Rio birth center since 2008.  She has been a volunteer with the CABC since 2007, as a site visitor and now as a commissioner.
