About the Presenters

Coral Slavin

Coral Slavin, MA, PhD
Coral Slavin is owner/director of Well-Rounded Maternity Center is Milwaukee, WI, currently the state’s oldest birthing center. She just celebrated 20 years as a doula and childbirth educator and has served as chair or board member of the local birth network for 19 of those years. As a non-midwife, Coral has had to rely on collaboration with area midwives and other health professionals to successfully operate a birthing center in a state that does not license birthing centers and only recently licensed CPMs. Coral has been involved in all aspects of running of the business from managing personnel, book keeping, billing, and education.
