How to Champion Birth Centers: Stories and Advice from the Field

Sunday, October 8: 2:30PM - 6:00PM

Birth centers need local champions to succeed.  Hear three birth center leaders' stories, lessons learned, and how they advanced their message to employers, public purchasers, health plans, and others.  After hearing from these leaders, we open the session to participants for a constructive and tactical give and take.

Key informants will include Kendra Wyatt from New Birth Company in Kansas City, Alice Taylor from Bright Eyes Midwifery in Gold Beach Oregon, the Minnesota Birth Center, Heike Hornsby of Puget Sound Midwives and Birth center, and others.

Participants who register for the workshop and submit a written request for consultation by September 1, 2017 may be eligible to receive two hours of personal consultation after the conference ends.
