1. IRC August Office Hours - In-Network vs Out-of-Network

Wednesday, August 14th at 12:00PM ET

What are the pros and cons of being in-network? Is it always better than being out-of-network?  Join Industry Relations Committee (IRC) members Steven Hall and Fran Schwartz to discuss the ins and outs of networking and strategies to get the contract you deserve.

2. Become an Approved Skills Assessment Instructor for the AABC Certificate Birth Assistant Training

Sunday, September 15th at 2:15 PM - 5:30 PM ET
at the AABC Birth Institute in Orlando, Florida

Become an approved instructor to administer the in-person skills check for students of the Certificate Birth Assistant Training program. The training will be taught by faculty Rosanne Gephart, MSN, CNM and Christy Peterson, MSN, CNM, ARNP. Qualified participants will review the CBAT course curriculum, components of the final skills assessment for students and how to assess a student's competency.

To become an approved instructor, an individual must be a licensed midwife, registered nurse, or experienced birth assistant at a CABC-Accredited Birth Center, a current AABC member, and complete this training.
