AABC Webinar: How to Start a Freestanding Birth Center in Response to COVID-19 Crisis

Freestanding birth centers are seeing an increase in interest as pregnant people seek alternatives to delivering in the hospital. The American Association of Birth Centers (AABC), health systems, and national organizations are recommending expanding access to freestanding birth centers for low-risk women in response to the COVID-19 crisis. Join AABC's How to Start a Birth Center Workshop faculty, Amy Johnson-Grass, CPM, and Aubre Tompkins, CNM, for this webinar specifically focused on opening a freestanding birth center in response to the Coronavirus pandemic. AABC Webinar: Are You Eligible? Federal Stimulus Funding for Birth Centers

The federal government has enacted stimulus programs to assist small businesses and non-profits during the COVID-19 crisis.  AABC's lobbyist, Patrick Cooney of the Federal Group, will review what aid is available and for whom. Topics include business loan opportunities, paid sick leave, family and medical leave benefits, unemployment benefits, and general overview of what Congress has done to date.
