POSITION PROFILE
Guiding Star Southwest is looking for Certified Nurse Midwives to expand trauma-informed childbirth services and life-affirming medical care for women in the Borderland region of El Paso, Texas; Las Cruces, New Mexico; and Juárez, Mexico. As an affiliate of the national Guiding Star Project, we are dedicated to removing fear around pregnancy by educating women and providing healthcare solutions. The ideal CNM candidate is compassionate and desires to practice under the midwifery model of care, aligned with Catholic/Biblical teaching.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We're establishing a new nonprofit birth center in El Paso, Texas, just one mile from the U.S.-Mexico border. As a CNM, you'll provide birth services and journey with women from puberty to menopause, assisting with prenatal care, labor, delivery, postpartum care, and offering fertility care and education. The ideal CNM should be dedicated to wholistic care, emphasizing "wholism" of mind, body, and spirit.

- Obtain training to perform and interpret diagnostic ultrasound examinations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have/obtain license in Texas; New Mexico also preferred.
- NRP, BLS/CPR certified.
- 2+ years of CNM experience (birth center/hospital preferred).
- Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- English required; Spanish preferred.
