Professional Bio
Suzan Ulrich is currently the founding director of the midwifery education program at George Washington University. She has been a midwife since 1983 and a nursing and midwifery educator for over 40 years. She was Director of the North Shore Birth Center in Beverly Massachusetts from 1991 until 2000. Suzan is dedicated to midwifery education. She recently completed 9 years as a member of the Board of Review for Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education (BOR/ACME) and has returned to serving as a senior site visitor which she did prior her work on the BOR. Suzan is an active member of American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM). Suzan also served in leadership positions in the American Association of Birth Centers (AABC) including as vice-president. She was inducted into the Fellowship of the ACNM in 2008. Suzan is an Alumna of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Executive Nurse Fellows Cohort 2012.
