Claudia Jennings

Claudia has worked with midwives at freestanding birth centers for 6 years and is proud to have held many operational roles, most recently as the administrative director of a birth center in MN. She provides behind the scenes support to ensure midwives can provide excellent clinical care and get paid appropriately for doing so! She is passionate about the value of the freestanding birth center model and how to demonstrate it, barriers to higher payment for birth centers and midwives, and ways to create operational and billing efficiency in the birth center model.


Nancy Koerber, CPM, CPC
Nancy Koerber, CPM, CPC

Nancy has practiced in the community birth setting since the early 80's. In addition, she has a business and practice administration background and also specializes in coding and billing. Nancy served as the Executive Director of the WNC Birth Center in Asheville and has assisted with birth center development for several others. 

Nancy has worked with legislative affairs since non-nurse midwives became illegal in North Carolina in 1982. She is well versed in how to build relationships with legislators to serve as partners in advocacy for midwives and birth centers. 


Marnie Cabezas
Marnie Cabezas

Marnie is the former CEO of Innovation Billing Service, Inc. and now owner of Marnie Cabezas Consulting. Her experience as both an independent medical practitioner and a small business owner fuels her passion for helping practices work smarter and get the compensation they deserve. She is committed to helping healthcare organizations optimize their revenue cycle, improve patient satisfaction and minimize administrative costs, while providing compassionate, inclusive, evidence-based care to their communities. 


Carla Morrow
Carla Morrow, CNM, DNP

Carla is a CNM with over 25 years of experience providing comprehensive care to women and families. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Texas Christian University and a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner certificate from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. After receiving her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Baylor University, she established the Fort Worth Birthing & Wellness Center in 2013. Since its accreditation in 2014, the birth center has garnered numerous community awards for its commitment to excellence in care.

Carla is a dedicated advocate for sustainable midwifery practices and enjoys the business aspects of running a birth center. She actively contributes to the midwifery community by leading the Texas Sustainability Committee with the Coalition of Texas Birth Centers and serving on the AABC Industry Relations Committee.
