Cancellation Policy

Membership Cancellation and Refund Policy

AABC makes all efforts to ensure satisfaction with membership purchases. Refunds for membership will be provided within 3 business days of the reception of payment for a new or renewing member, with the following conditions:

  • If organizational/individual accounts tied to the membership have downloaded/accessed/viewed any of the available documents, courses, or training online via AABC, the refund will be allocated minus the current non-member rates for any resources downloaded/viewed online as part of AABC member value

  • If organizational/individual accounts tied to the membership have not downloaded/accessed/viewed any of the available documents, courses, or training online via AABC, a full refund will be processed

After 3 business days, no refunds will be made available for membership purchases. Requests for refunds in membership must be emailed to aabc@birthcenters.org. Membership can be cancelled by requesting such cancellation in an email to aabc@birthcenters.org. Any membership cancellations that take place more than 3 business days after purchase of a membership will not receive any refunds, however all membership-related listings, benefits, and values will be cancelled.

Event Cancellation or Postponement

AABC reserves exclusive right to modify, postpone/reschedule or cancel programs for any reason, including but not limited to emergency, inclement weather or other 'acts of God'.  If there is an event cancellation, every attempt will be made to reschedule, and registration fees will be applied to the rescheduled event date.  Any travel, lodging, or incidental expenses incurred related to a cancelled event cannot be refunded under any circumstances.  If a cancelled event cannot be rescheduled, AABC will determine an equitable basis for the refund of a portion or all of the registration fees, after due consideration of circumstances and expenditures.

Birth Institute Registration Cancellation Policy

To be eligible for a refund, a notice of cancellation must be received two weeks (10 business days) before the conference by the AABC office (215.234.8068 | aabc@birthcenters.org). A 15% processing fee will be deducted from each refund.

Alternatively, you may elect to transfer your registration to another person for no additional charge.

How to Start a Birth Center Workshop Cancellation Policy

To be eligible for a refund, a notice of cancellation must be received two weeks (10 business days) before the conference by the AABC office (215.234.8068 | aabc@birthcenters.org). A 15% processing fee will be deducted from each refund.

Alternatively, you may elect to transfer your registration to another person for no additional charge.

You may also elect to transfer your registration to another workshop for a 15% processing fee.  Transfer requests must be received two weeks (10 business days) before the in-person workshop by the AABC office. 

Refund and transfer requests cannot be approved less than two weeks before the workshop, to include no-shows. 

Nametag sharing, splitting, and reprints are strictly prohibited.

Online Courses

To be eligible for a refund, the learner must not have launched the course. A 15% processing fee will be deducted from each refund.  No refunds will be given once a course has been launched.
