Position Overview

We are seeking a warm, knowledgeable, and supportive International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) to join our team. The Lactation Consultant will provide expert clinical care, education, and hands-on support to families navigating their feeding journey. This role is central to our mission of empowering families with confidence and evidence-based guidance in the postpartum period and beyond.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one lactation consultations in person and virtually
• Support breastfeeding/chestfeeding, pumping, and bottle-feeding families
• Develop and implement individualized feeding plans
• Document care in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
• Collaborate closely with midwives, nurses, and other team members to provide integrated care
• Offer group classes and workshops for expectant and new parents
• Stay current on lactation research and maintain IBCLC certification

Qualifications

• International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) credential required
• Experience in perinatal, postpartum, or pediatric settings preferred
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach with excellent communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Flexibility to work some evenings or weekends as needed
