Nominations Open for the 2025 AABC Achievement Awards

Do you know someone who has gone above and beyond in supporting birth centers? Now is the time to recognize their contributions.
The American Association of Birth Centers (AABC) is accepting nominations for the 2025 AABC Achievement Awards, which celebrate individuals and organizations who have made outstanding efforts to advance the birth center model of care.
Nominees may include:

A writer or journalist who has highlighted your birth center in the media

A consumer who has championed birth centers in your community
-
A legislator or public official who has supported policies for safe, high-quality birth center care
-
A collaborating physician or professional peer who has worked tirelessly for the birth center movement

Award recipients will be honored at the 2025 AABC Birth Institute, taking place September 11–14, 2025, in Portland, Oregon.

GUIDELINES FOR NOMINATIONS
To make a nomination, please send the following information to awards@birthcenters.org by JULY 8, 2025
- Nominee's name, degrees, address, telephone number, and email address
- Category for which person is being nominated
- Evidence of meeting the criteria for this award (see awards criteria) - 250-500 words
- Person who is making nomination, address, telephone number, and email address.
Only complete applications will be considered by the Awards Committee.
