Neighborhood Birth Center (NBC) seeks TWO qualified midwives to collaborate on the launch of clinical operations for a community birth center in Boston, MA. NBC aims to build a co-directorship model whereby two Clinical Directors share power, leadership, and vision for the organization with the Executive Director. The Clinical Directors will work to develop the clinical practice of a new freestanding, full-spectrum birth center. They will join the Executive Director, Associate Director (a CNM), and Board of Directors to support all aspects of planning until doors open in fall 2027.

Location:
- Boston-based, mostly work from home, with team gatherings, meetings, events, and presentations in and around Greater Boston, through summer 2027 or until the Roxbury facility is built.
Salary:
- $150,000 annually, with comprehensive benefits and generous professional development and licensure allowance.
Required Skills:
- Midwifery licensure with prescriptive authority, where applicable (Currently, MA only licenses CNMs, but we expect to begin licensing CPMs later in 2026.) We strongly encourage both CNMs and CPMs to apply
- 5 years of clinical experience, at least two years in a community birth setting
- Explicit commitment to the midwifery model of care and reproductive justice
- Leadership experience in a midwifery or health-related clinical practice
- Managerial experience including hiring, training, and overseeing clinical staff
