Volunteer for the Community Birth Conference Program Committee
The American Association of Birth Centers (AABC) and the National Association of Certified Professional Midwives (NACPM) are excited to announce our partnership in hosting "The Community Birth Conference," taking place May 20–23, 2027, in Greenville, South Carolina.
As we begin planning this inspiring gathering of community birth professionals, advocates, educators, researchers, and leaders, we invite you to volunteer and help shape the conference program. Join us in building a program that reflects and advances community birth.
We are seeking enthusiastic committee members from our member communities. By joining, you will help shape the conference program by:
-
Identifying keynote themes that reflect the current opportunities and challenges facing community birth
-
Recommending and evaluating potential keynote speakers
-
Reviewing and evaluating presentation proposals
-
Identifying timely, relevant, evidence-informed sessions for attendees
-
Contributing to creating a diverse and engaging educational program
-
Helping ensure the conference inspires meaningful dialogue, collaboration, and action
This is a unique opportunity to help shape the conversations, learning experiences, and vision that will guide community birth leaders nationwide. Whether your expertise is in clinical practice, education, advocacy, policy, research, administration, or community engagement, your voice is vital. We will structure commitments to respect your time while ensuring a thoughtful review process. Expected time commitment: 2-4 hours/month. Please join us in shaping this important work.
Ready to make an impact? Sign up to volunteer now through July 7.
Thank you for considering this opportunity to contribute to the success of "The Community Birth Conference." We look forward to building an exceptional conference together!
