Posted By: Cathy Duffy Career Center,

Dar a Luz Birth & Health Center is looking for an experienced Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) to join our birth center team!

About Us:

Dar a Luz is a unique midwife-operated practice in a non-profit freestanding birth center. We opened in March 2011 with two midwives and a nurse and have since grown to a staff of 20 and have caught over 1500 babies at the center. The fulfilling work we do, the wonderful clients we attract, and the fun and positive work environment we’ve fostered make it an amazing environment to work in. We are deeply grateful to our staff, clients, and community, and proud to serve NM families! To learn more about Dar a Luz, visit www.daraluzbirthcenter.org.

Qualifications:

The ideal applicant has birth center experience, but those with hospital backgrounds with an exceptional desire to protect physiologic birth will be considered. New graduates with similar experience in school will be considered. Appropriate midwifery licenses are required, including NRP and BLS.

Schedule:

You’ll work about 26 shifts per six-week rotation with two call weekends (Friday-Sunday) per six-week period. These shifts include clinic and call, and the shifts vary from 8-24 hours to average 3-4 days per week. Your clinic time will be spent providing pregnancy, postpartum, newborn, and well-woman care.

Compensation:

We pay a base salary plus additional stipends for births.

Employee health, dental, vision, life, malpractice insurance (no tail), and license renewals are paid, and we offer retirement investment plans.

Altogether, it’s a robust compensation package, comparable to other birth centers and other non-profit organizations.

How to Apply:

No phone calls, please! Introduce yourself by writing a short email and pasting or attaching your CV or resume to alisa@daraluzbirthcenter.org.
