The Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing offers undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral nursing programs. Graduates go on to become national and international leaders in patient care, public health, government, and education. Master’s degree graduates are qualified to seek certification as nurse practitioners, nurse midwives, and/or clinical nurse specialists. The school’s PhD program focuses on clinical research. Midwifery Institute at Jefferson

For over two decades, the Midwifery Institute has provided innovative online learning with community based clinical. We educate midwives from a variety of undergraduate disciplines including nursing. Programs include Master of Science, Doctorate in Midwifery, and Graduate Certificate. Interdisciplinary collaborations provide for an on-campus accelerated BSN through the Jefferson College of Nursing, a 1 year, pre-clinical MPH through the Jefferson College of Population Health, and continuing and professional education for practicing midwives.
