Oregon - Certified Professional Midwife
Position type: Salary, non-exempt
Start Date: Oct 2025; interested candidates are encouraged to apply regardless of their preferred start timeline.
Pay: $31 – $37/hour depending on level experience and status of certifications/licensure. Plus $100 monthly on call stipend. Plus benefits (see below).

Hours: This position requires working days, nights, and weekends and includes a mix of on-call time, birth assisting and postpartum care, clinic work, admin work, care coordination, client education, and home-visits. This position also comes with Paid Time Off and holidays.
Required Education and/or Experience; Certifications/Licenses:
- Certification as a Certified Professional Midwife
- Unencumbered licensure in the State of Oregon as a Licensed Midwife, or ability to obtain promptly
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Ability to read, write, and speak Spanish is preferred but not required
- IBCLC certification is preferred but not required
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program and Basic Life Support certification
- Must qualify for malpractice insurance policy provided by Our Community Birth Center
- Training in management/care of obstetric emergencies such as Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO) or another similar course or program
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records, Microsoft Office products, Google Suite, Zoom, and a willingness to learn other computer databases and tools as needed
- Must possess and maintain a current, valid Driver License, and reliable transportation
- Must complete background check and driving record check successfully meeting our criteria
